I'm always a sucker for the little ones playing!

Family Session at the Botanical Garden

I rescheduled a family photo session from Friday to Saturday, with the weather being SO much better. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for strolling through the gardens. The little ones almost lasted two hours, but we still got over 250 photos, so they did a great job.

A fence

A fence makes a lovely prop and this little one didn't need any directing! Just hanging out with some children, but I had to photograph this cutie.

Summer Time!

Some random summer portraits that I like. Children's portraits are a favorite of mine, particularly now that I have my own little one! As you can tell, I really love the "doe eyed" look. Smiles are great, but an open relaxed face has a wonderful quality too. For one, you can REALLY see those eyes!

Some Collages & Filters

A couple collages and filters on Brandi's photo shoot with a bit of text added. I really like how the bridge shot turned out, more a piece of artwork than a portrait.

Individual Shoot

Had a great two-hour individual photo shoot at Lewis Ginter this weekend. Ended up with 219 photos of Brandi after deleting some blinks and such. That's a lot of photos! It was a very bright and sunny day, not my favorite, but we had some interesting lighting on some and of course those in the shade were still great.

Here are a handful (or two) of unedited photos that I really liked.

Beach

Had a fun week at the beach with my family. Unfortunately it was very windy so I didn't get to take many photographs with my DSLR and brought my trusty (but not irreplaceable!) Powershot.

Raqs Sharqi

Photographing events is a lot of fun. One interest of mine has been Raqs Sharqi or bellydance. Here are a couple moments I've captured from local haflas and programs (not with my better camera, unfortunately).

My son

Of course my main model is my son and over his four years of life, I have thousands of photos of him. Flipping through my digital archives, I've pulled out some favorites of mine. Hope you enjoy!

And of course, a photo that REALLY shows what it's like to be the child of a photographer! Ha!
